Summer vacation was only made better by a dinner here! Filet tips app was great, and as you would expect the ribs rocked! Tender fall off the bone like I WISH I could cook at home! Service was good and the beers on tap offered a choice for all beer lovers. Do yourself a favor and stop here as soon as you can!

Ok, I waited 24 hours to post this review because I didn't want to be unfair in my comments. The positives: the Manager was polite and gracious and generously gave my wife a free slice of Key Lime Pie; the view from the porch was pleasant as was the weather for a sunset dinner. The Negatives: we ordered their signature onion loaf and found it to be not fully cooked even after we asked our server to cook it a little extra. The Ribs were burnt black and dry. Even their sauce could not save our plate. Our Server was polite when we ordered but non existent after the order. A young male assistant delivered the ribs with a simple comment of "here are yur (sic) ribs", as he placed them on the corner of the table before departing or even asking if there was anything else we required. We have eaten at Damon's before in other locations and found the meal and service to be better. Hopefully, this Manager will get the process and this operation together soon. Until then, better to await another positive review.

Looking for a great place to eat and sit on the porch next to the ocean? Well, you find it here. We were able to get seated with a very reasonable waiting time. We had a super waitress named Candace. I think she practically ran every time we saw her. She was considerate of the idiosyncrasies of our various orders and got them spot on. When we asked for additional lemon wedges, she made sure we had the right amount (my dad loves his lemon juice on his flounder). The only drawback is that they had overcooked their prime rib. I prefer a medium rare, but got medium well. The waitress did let me know it would be a little bit more cooked. The great result was that it still tasted delicious. Go to enjoy good food, service and ambiance.

Food was not that great. Ribs were so-so and BBQ pork was not good. For the price, food should have tasted better. Prime rib was not seasoned well. Too pricey for average food.

We had horrible service and awful food. They were unable to make a simple Mai-Tai and my margarita was nothing but salt in the bottom. We ordered appetizers but never received them. The prime rib tasted more like bologna, it was the worst shrimp we've ever had and the ribs were dry and fatty. After waiting 30+ minutes to speak with the manager they still had our check incorrect and our server never returned to collect our check so my father went to the bar to pay and our server was on his cell phone. I would not recommend eating here nor will me or family return to their establishment.

With the busy Myrtle Beach area we were looking at 45-1 hour waits and decided to go to Damon's, we got seated right away. Our waitress was excellent. The food was very good. I had a steak which was a little undercooked but I like it that way, some places are different on the way they cook so I order a little over rather than under, it had a great flavor. My girlfriend and mother both had the flounder which was amazing, cooked perfectly, great taste. My dad and I both had the ribs as well, not let down at all, they were great. Overall I would give them a 4.8 for everything but this app won't allow that. If you are in the area and enjoy any type of barbecue this is a must go place.

The four stars are more for the service, decor, atmosphere and parking. The food was three star at best. My wife and I both had steaks. We might go back to try the ribs, but we would not go there again for a steak. If ribs are comparable to the steak, I will give them three stars next time.

Chain....didn't eat here... But...non smoking....good beer on tap. Staff was un-enthusiastic..bartenders lacking conviviality....I don't get these places...bar is empty...one guy at the bar (moi).. here's an idea....actually engage your customer....maybe make it fun for him/her to be there...if your a woman...flirt a bit..and, before you know it...your bar won't be empty on a day when every other bar is full with people watching college basketball..

The ribeye angus Steak I ordered medium well and was burnt. When the waiter saw I hadn't eat it, he refunded my money! The resturant wasn't busy and the wait was horrible. The pictures on the walls had grime and slime all over them. They need to clean them all! Don't waste your time. If you want Damon's, go to the oceanfront one down in main Myrtle Beach area.

I believe this is the same as Damon's Grill on Highway 17. We went there because it was pet friendly and our little guy was with us so we sat outside on the patio. Our waitress didn't notice our dog but another waitress did and brought out a dog bowl with water for him (a plus already!). The tiny muffins they bring out are wonderful and I had the Orchard Salad with chicken and my husband had Pulled Pork; both excellent choices. Banana pudding came with his meal and our waitress brought out one for me because she wanted me to have a dessert as well. Now that's sweet! Didn't try the ribs but look forward to trying them the next time.
